After completing the Edinburgh marathon last year we were a little stuck for what to do next.
Following much head scratching and, after deciding that sitting on the sofa wasn’t a viable option, cycling the length of a country come to mind.
Why France? It was close and not the UK – Mark having already cycled John O Groats to Lands End a few years ago. Barcelona seemed like a fitting destination for relaxation and sight seeing after the event.
What better way to spend a summer holiday than cycling 1000 miles, taking in some beautiful scenery, and hopefully sampling a considerable amount of bread/cheese and most importantly wine…
…but then we remembered that to get to Barcelona we have to cross the Pyrenees. How we manage that remains to be seen.
